In a town not to far, where the snowflakes do play, lives a man names Jackie Boy, whose once gone astray.
A year has passed since his havoc-filled spree, but now he's returned, oh, just you wait and see!
With a twinkle in his eye and a sack on his back, Jackie Boy's ready, he's back on track!
But this time it's different, oh yes it is true. He's darker and hungrier, watch what he'll do!
His gruesome tools gleaming, they glisten in the night, a jingle of madness, a true tale of fright.
He's got hammers and chisels and saws sharp and sly, all hidden away in his sack, oh my!
For all in his way, he has mischief in mind, a tail of sweet chaos, with bloodshed entwined.
"Let's jingle," he chuckles, "and slay through the snow, for those who've been naughty, it's time they all know!"
With a sleigh full of tools and a grin full of glee, this dark Christmas night is not what it seems to be.
So beware all you children, both naughty and nice, for Jackie Boy's coming, oh, heed this advice!
Gather your wishes, and keep them all tight, for Jackie Boy's jingle brings terror tonight!
In this land of joy where shadows do play, Jackie Boy's back and he's ready to slay!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Dark Holiday Tale

This book is not for the faint of heart, but if you’re into extreme horror, it’s a wild ride you won’t soon forget. Written entirely in rhyme, Jackie Boy combines the gruesome with the clever, creating a dark holiday tale that’s both horrifying and strangely entertaining. The rhyming with the carnage makes it almost impossible to put down, even as the gore escalates. It’s shocking and filled with disturbingly vivid imagery, which is not for everyone, but that’s part of the appeal. If you have a thick skin for graphic horror, this book is as chaotic and brutal as you’d expect, and while it’s deeply unsettling, it’s also brilliantly crafted. Just know what you’re getting into before you dive in, as this isn’t your average holiday story!
4.0 out of 5 stars Worst Christmas ever

Wow. This is dark. There is a massive warning at the front of the book so it should have been expected, but the ending… That will haunt me.
I’m not a massive horror fan, but I picked this up to try out something different. It’s very short and very sharp, and I like that it has the same poetic rhythm as the children’s story: T’was the night before Christmas. It’s well done.
I wasn’t quite so sure about the story itself. It was very much horror, but I guess I didn’t quite get the motive - other than Jackie Boy is having fun. Maybe that’s enough. Maybe?
If you’re a fan of horror then this is a very clever little short story that’s worth a read. Christmas will never be the same again, though.

Unique style of writing but still as gross as what you can get from extreme horror! This one got me at the end. A baby scene 🤢 brilliantly written and can’t wait to see if there’s more!

Gross and horrific, with a protagonist who's the worst person I've ever encountered in literature.
It's starts out gory and gets worse.
All to a fun jaunty rhyming meter.
I found out after I read it that it's a sequel.
I can't believe there are two of these books.
I need to find the other one now.
(Warning: This is absolutely not for everyone. But if this is the kind of thing you like, you'll love this.
